GENERAL INFORMATION

At The Science School, we recognise the significance of science in our daily life hence we practice a problem solving hands on approach that allows the T.S.S student to observe, analyse and apply scientific methods and critical thinking skills.

Our students raise questions, define and solve problems. They evaluate the authenticity of the scientific information and investigation.

The Science School students can clearly express scientific ideas using oral, visual and written means. They also possess the technical and interpersonal skills to be leaders who contribute to an ever changing society.

At T.S.S, we encourage and ensure that our students;

Every member of staff at The Science School is a committed and experienced professional, who are dedicated to developing student’s interest and inspiring them to be successful. These team of enthusiastic staff ensures that the learning, language, emotional and behavioural needs of all T.S.S students are met in the way best for them.

OUR EXPECTATION

At The Science School, we have a very high expectation of our students in all aspects of school and personal life. We work hard to develop these qualities in every student.

Our Code of Conduct clearly sets our expectations and has a structured system of reward and sanctions, which promotes high standards of work and behaviour both on and off the School premises.

At T.S.S, we believe that all students should leave the school as highly qualified, confident, competent and articulate young entrepreneurs.

WHEN ONLY THE BEST IS GOOD ENOUGH

The Science School Abuja is a registered educational organization known for providing quality education. We established the Secondary School in September, 2017. The Science School is a secure school with classes that are well structured and designed to create a fun and engaging educational environment for students between the ages of 14-16 years.

At The Science School Abuja, we offer a wide range of fun-learning and educational experiences for students.

Age requirement

Year 10: 14 years by September

Year 11: 15 Years September

Entrance Assessments

Candidates are expected to write an entrance assessment before offered a place in the class applied for, afterwards candidates will be interviewed and informed of their expectations at The Science School.

Acceptance letter

On acceptance of the admission letter given, you will be expected to fill the acceptance letter and submit to the school with non-refundable capital development levy and registration fee.

The annual calendar for the School runs termly, and the terms are divided as follows;

  • 1st term: September to December
  • 2nd term: January to March
  • 3rd term: April to July

The school closes for;

  • all Government public holidays,
  • mid-term breaks
  • every end of term.

Parents will be notified of every holiday.

SAFE AND SOUND

Our environment is kept safe and secure for our children, staff and parents. Our staff are recruited based on qualifications, experience, background check and clearance from our school clinic that they are medically fit to care for our children.

 

SECURITY

As part of our security measures,

We have;

  • security cameras,
  • scanners to search anyone entering the school premises
  • security guards.
  • Cards for authorized pick up persons

 

HYGIENE, HEALTH AND SAFETY

In the case of your child being ill;

  • you will be notified immediately by a call.
  • we will expect the child to be picked up within two hours of speaking to the parent.
  • we will make sure the child is as comfortable as possible, away from the other children while waiting for your arrival.

As part of our hygiene/ health precautions, we have;

  • A licensed School Nurse that ensures;
  • all students and staff are safe and well
  • all medications are correctly administered.

A HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT officer that;

  • organizes safety and first aid training for staff quarterly.
  • ensures the safety policies of the school are duly followed.
  • ensures the school is fumigated monthly.
