A HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT officer that;
- organises safety and first aid training for staff quarterly.
- ensures the safety policies of the school are duly followed.
- ensures the school is fumigated monthly.
FIRE/SAFETY DRILL
Once every term, the school organises a fire drill. On that day, the fire alarm goes off, followed by a long bell ring. Students are expected to stop whatever is being done at the time, form a line and walk briskly to the closest exit door, then to the MUSTER POINT for head count. Do not run, push or panic.
In the event of a real fire, you are expected to follow the same procedure as the Fire Drill.
Safety drill is not different from the fire drill, but in this case when you hear a loud bang or sound, you are expected to go under your desk, until you are instructed otherwise. It is important that you do not panic.
