Boarding House Rules and Regulations
- Every student in the Boarding House is bound by the rules and regulations in this Code of Conduct.
- You are expected to comply with all the legitimate instructions given by Your House Master/ Mistress first time given.
- You are bound by the Boarding House Daily Schedule and you are expected to strictly adhere to it at all times. Bells are an important part of your day and all bells must be obeyed immediately. Punctuality is our watch word and you are expected to be punctual at all times. There will be serious consequences for truancy and lateness.
- You are expected to be scholarly and adventurous, creative and inventive, seeing problems as challenges that need solutions rather than obstacles. You are prohibited from visiting the Girls’ Hostel if you are a boy and the Boys’ Hostel if you are a girl.
- You are to respect the privacy of everyone in the school community and this includes keeping to your personal space.
- All provisions brought to school by you must be stored in your locker and consumed only during your free time.
- Sports is necessary for your overall well-being and an important part of the school schedule. You must participate in all sporting activities. You may only be exempted from sports if you have been given an approval by the School Nurse based on health reasons or if your registration form states reasons why you may not participate in sports.
- Light out must be obeyed. Students who do not comply may face serious disciplinary action which includes but is not limited to Service Labour and/or suspension from the hostel.
- You may not touch another student inappropriately.
- Sexual offenses such as masturbation, humping, kissing, smooching etc, will lead to immediate suspension and/or expulsion depending on the outcome of the disciplinary committee.
- The disciplinary committee will meet to discuss disciplinary issues and their decision is final.
- Your parents will only be allowed to visit you on Visiting Days. Visiting Days will hold once every half term.
- Cooked food from home is not allowed except on visiting days and this must be consumed on the same day in the school auditorium.
- Any contraband item will be confiscated immediately and the offender will face the disciplinary committee.
